WHO WE ARE: Go As If is a production company that brings a decade of experience in developing content, producing media and all-ages events in partnership with an extended network of creative professionals and diverse venues. The objective of Go As If is to spread intercultural appreciation and encourage right representation through inclusive events, concerts and enrichment programming. Go As If fosters community and encourages civic engagement by supporting both local and international philanthropic initiatives.
ABOUT THE OWNER: Andrea Miller was born to parents who immigrated to the United States from Cape Town, South Africa in the 1960's. Andrea’s interest in immigration narratives, social activism, liberation movements and living a multi-racial identity has informed her grassroots community work and creative direction. Among many fulfilling and successful projects, highlights include producing 4 years of arts enrichment programming with non-profit organization Living Peace Foundation, 50+
installments of a community workshop series entitled "Grow Where You Are," exploring Food Justice and Urban Gardening, curating 3 years of the annual "One Peace" Pop-Up Art Exhibit featuring both emerging and established visual artists and most recently an interdisciplinary concert at the historic Ford Theatres entitled, Common Culture. It is themes such as multi-culturalism, global citizenry, and the search for true identity that influence her work.
